19-12-2017

Last month, Lode De Roover of the restaurant Fleur de Lin won the Belgian Bocuse d'Or final. The winning meat dish included Peter's Farm Veal Cheek, Veal Kidney, Veal Tongue and Veal Sweetbread. Lode De Roover will now represent Belgium at the European final of this prestigious gastronomic competition in Turin.

The Belgian final's jury that picked culinary talent De Roover from five very strong candidates included three-star chef Peter Goossens. In early October, Fleur de Lin's chef was already named first chef of Belgium in the culinary competition Prosper Montagné.

The international gastronomic competition Bocuse d'Or, started by the French star chef Paul Bocuse in 1987, is considered the unofficial cooking world championship.
